Life Skills Space

Our Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Kitchen and Life Skills Space is specifically designed to support individuals with neurological conditions and complex mental health needs. Led by our multidisciplinary therapy team, it’s a genuinely practical part of the rehabilitation journey here.

The space provides opportunities to develop and maintain essential daily living skills, including meal planning and preparation, budgeting, shopping and household management.

Practical Skills for Everyday Independence

Rebuilding independence isn’t only about physical recovery, it’s also about relearning the everyday tasks that make daily life possible. Our ADL kitchen gives residents a safe, supported space to practise exactly that, from cooking a meal to managing a household budget.

Every session is guided by our multidisciplinary therapy team, so support stays grounded in clinical expertise even while the tasks themselves feel entirely everyday.

Building Confidence, One Task at a Time

Using personalised, recovery-focused approaches, we support individuals to improve cognitive, functional and practical skills, build confidence and maximise independence. Small, practical wins here often translate into real confidence elsewhere in a resident’s recovery.

The aim throughout is to help residents achieve their own goals and prepare for greater participation in everyday life and the community.
